Metaverses
What is a
Metaverse?
The internet (the network) is a global computer network that provides a number of different information and communication facilities consisting of interconnected networks that use standardised communication protocols. A diverse group of apps, websites and platforms use this network to receive and send data (e.g. text, audio, images and video).
A metaverse is a superstructure in which you can access content/data from a number of different apps and platforms with just one log-in and using the same set of menus, buttons and features. Even though metaverse terminology is completely fresh, the rapid progress towards metaverses has been inevitable thanks to the huge variety of apps, websites and platforms in existence. In other words, those who were able to see this have all realised that it was only a matter of time before the Metaverse became a reality.
